Kechil Kitchen is a Singapore enterprise focussed on making #meatless and #plantbased options interesting and helps people think fresh, eat better and be happy.
Kechil Kitchen was created when I was working as a marketer and felt the need to channelise my love for food. What started as a food blog has now morphed to be an enterprise.
An enterprise that is driven by my passion. A passion not just to feed people but to plate a story. A Chef story of origins, flavours, ingredients, processes that have a narration beyond just the meal. A food journey where I can transport people culinarily and take them through a food story that has meaning beyond just the plated dish.
A chef by default, storyteller by design, I am always looking to make a difference in the way people "think, eat and make food".
My philosophy on food is simple. It should be fun, tasty and balanced. Balance is key. A good plate should offer a balance in texture, flavour and colour—a feast for the senses.
I collaborate with restaurants and narrate food stories using my menus organised as a pop-up event. In my menus, I try to champion locally grown, sustainable and biodiverse ingredients.
